What connecting your agent means

Your AI agent — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or whichever you use — can write, summarise and reason, but it can’t see your invoices. Connecting it gives it permission to work inside your invoicing software: look up a customer, draft an invoice, tell you what’s still unpaid. You set it up once, in about a minute, and from then on you just ask in the same chat you already use.

It runs on MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI agents use to plug into other apps. Nothing to install and no code to write: you paste an address into your agent, sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account and choose which companies it can see.

Step by step, agent by agent

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok sign in with your account (OAuth), so your agent never sees your password. Muse and AMUN use a key you create in the app and can revoke at any time.

    1. Click “Connect with Claude”: Claude opens with the “Add custom connector” dialog and the address already filled in.
    2. Check it says FacturaSmart Pro and click “Add”.
    3. Sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account (or create it right there) and choose whether it gets all your companies or just one. Done.

    Claude’s free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an organization owner adds it.

  • Connect with ChatGPTby OpenAI

    1. Click “Connect with ChatGPT”: we copy the address and open its Plugins.
    2. Click “+” and choose “Add custom MCP server”. Name it FacturaSmart Pro, paste the address, choose OAuth, accept the notice and click “Create as a plugin”.
    3. Install it, sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account and choose whether it gets all your companies or just one. In a new chat, type @ to use it.

    If the option isn’t there, it depends on your plan or workspace: on Business, Enterprise and Edu, the workspace admin decides. Before changing anything, such as issuing an invoice, ChatGPT asks you to confirm.

  • Connect with Geminiby Google

    1. Click “Connect with Gemini”: we copy the address and open Gemini at Connectors. Do it on a computer: it can’t be added from your phone.
    2. Choose “Add a custom app”, paste the address and click “Next”.
    3. Sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account and choose whether it gets all your companies or just one. In a chat, type @ and pick FacturaSmart Pro.

    Google is rolling this out gradually: for now only in the US, in English, with a personal account and with Activity turned on. If you don’t see the option, it hasn’t reached your account yet. Meanwhile it works in Gemini CLI, the terminal version: gemini mcp add --transport http facturasmartpro https://facturasmartpro.com/api/mcp. Gemini asks you to confirm before changing anything.

    1. Click “Connect with Grok”: we copy the address and open Grok at Connectors.
    2. “New connector” → “Custom”: paste the address.
    3. Sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account and choose whether it gets all your companies or just one.

    If Grok asks for a key instead of signing in, create one in “Connect agent” (in the menu) and paste it. If xAI’s sign-in gets stuck “verifying your device”, try a private window or another browser.

    1. Click “Create the key for Muse” and copy it: it is only shown once.
    2. Click “Connect with Muse”: we copy a message with the address and open Muse. Paste it into the chat.
    3. When it asks for the credential, paste the key into its secure form, never into the chat.

    Muse is Meta’s personal agent. For now it is only available in the United States.

    1. Click “Create the key for AMUN” and copy it: it is only shown once.
    2. Click “Connect with AMUN”: it opens at “Conectores” (Connectors). Under “Nuestras aplicaciones” (Our apps), open FacturaSmart Pro: the address is already filled in.
    3. Paste the key into “Pega aquí la clave” (Paste the key here) and click “Conectar” (Connect). From then on AMUN invoices for you on WhatsApp and Telegram.

You decide what it does

A connected agent isn’t an agent on the loose. What matters doesn’t rely on the agent behaving: FacturaSmart Pro checks it.

Nothing is issued or deleted without you

Issuing, emailing an invoice or chasing a payment reaches you as a notification and only happens once you approve it in FacturaSmart Pro. Before deleting anything, your agent checks with you. And an issued invoice can never be deleted — it’s corrected with a credit note.

Read-only, if you like

When you authorise it, you choose whether your agent can only look or can also act. Read-only, it answers questions but can’t change a thing.

Disconnect it whenever you want

The app shows which agents are connected and since when, and you can cut any of them off in one click. Sign-in connections also expire on their own after 90 days.

Everything is logged

Everything an agent does goes into the company’s activity log, with who asked and when. Each operation carries a retry key, so a dropped connection never means a duplicate invoice.

One connection for all your companies

Run several businesses? You don’t connect your agent once per company: one connection works across all of them, or just the one you pick. Say “invoice this from the clinic” and it knows which company you mean, with its tax ID, series and tax.

It also remembers how you work — that this customer gets invoices in English, that this subscription always goes out on the 1st. You can see what it remembers and delete it any time.

Spain’s Veri*factu built in

An invoice issued by your agent is exactly the same as one you issue yourself: chained fingerprint, tax QR code, ready for the Spanish Tax Agency. Veri*factu becomes mandatory for companies on 1 January 2027 and for the self-employed on 1 July 2027; here every invoice already follows it.

Outside Spain, each company invoices with its own country’s tax and format.

No agent? One comes included

CocoIA lives inside the app: type or talk to it — on Telegram too — and it drafts invoices, logs expenses and can read its replies aloud. It always asks before issuing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create invoices with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add FacturaSmart Pro to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server (under Plugins), sign in with your account and ask for invoices in the chat. ChatGPT asks you to confirm before changing anything, and issuing only happens once you approve it in FacturaSmart Pro.

How do I connect Claude to my invoicing software?

Click “Connect with Claude” on this page: Claude opens with the connector already filled in, you click “Add” and sign in with your FacturaSmart Pro account. Claude’s free plan allows one custom connector.

Does it work with Gemini and Grok?

Yes. In Gemini it’s added as a custom app (Google is rolling this out gradually; meanwhile it works in Gemini CLI), and in Grok as a custom connector. Both sign in with your account, just like Claude and ChatGPT.

What is an MCP invoicing connector?

It’s the door through which an AI agent works inside your invoicing software. MCP is an open standard, so the same connection works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and any other compatible agent.

Can my agent issue or delete invoices behind my back?

No. Issuing, emailing an invoice and chasing a payment wait for your approval; your agent checks with you before deleting anything; and an issued invoice can’t be deleted at all. You can also connect it read-only.

Does it cost extra?

Does it work with several companies, or outside Spain?

Yes to both. One connection covers all your companies, and each one invoices with its own country’s tax and format. In Spain, with Veri*factu on top.
